Agriculture insurance provides financial protection for a wide range of agricultural activities, including livestock, poultry, fisheries, paddy cultivation, vegetables, fruits, and other crops. It safeguards farmers and agribusinesses against unexpected losses caused by fire, natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, storms, and droughts, as well as damage resulting from insects, diseases, and accidents.
To encourage the adoption of agricultural insurance and strengthen the agricultural sector, the government provides subsidies on insurance premiums, making coverage more affordable and accessible for Nepalese farmers.
